The concentrator is meant to be used several times. Use it without oil for longer life and less calories. If your concentrator burns and cracks, turn the power level on your microwave to 90%, and pull it out as soon as the popping stops. Somebody stated in the reviews that these were to be used only once...this is false. As stated in the manual, "Although the PowerCup� concentrator is a disposable part, it is designed for multiple uses. The number of uses will vary from microwave to microwave with up to 12 batches when using the popper with oil and up to 24 batches when using popper without oil.
