I wanted rhythm sticks that a) made a nice sound, b) weren't too long for him, so he wouldn't poke an eye out, c) would fit nicely in his little hands, and d) wouldn't be splintery, because they would spend a lot of time in his mouth, because he's teething. These claves delivered on all counts. He immediately figured out what they were for, they fit his hands perfectly and were nice and smooth so I didn't mind him gnawing at them. I'm very pleased.
