As a professional drummer I will use nothing else. I prefer the G2 coated heads as they offer maximum resonance w/ minimum damping. They will make your drums sing and last a long time. I am a believer and I am not the only one. Every pro drummer I know uses Evans and swears by them. They are simply the best. I really like them on my PDP set. The coated heads have a lot of attack and quite a bit of sustain. They come packaged well, all for a good price. I spent quite a bit of time tuning them although, because... I have no idea. If I ever wanted new heads, I would probably get these, after trying a few others. This review is from: Evans G2 Tompack, Coated, Fusion (10 inch, 12 inch, 14 inch) (Electronics) these are seriously good heads theres a reason why most of the top drummers use these heads....dennis chambers for example i was amazed at how good these sounded, the tone is so much more warmer and will make your toms sounds amazing the best part was how easy to tune these were, apart from the 10inch tom, i basically put these on a tightened them and they sound great haven't had to tune them at all since. from an aesthetics point of view, the white heads look great.
